Is there a way to create an animated icon to use as the Forms Icon? I thought Icons could be animated, but I have not been able to find an app or way to create one that can be assigned to the WinForms Icon. Has anyone done something like this before?

As I recall, this is against the Windows UI guidelines and very likely why there is no easy API way of doing updates on the icons presented in the taskbar. Also how would animation work when your program is not running and your app's icon is presented in the Start Menu and the File Explorer?
