Entry Level programmers

I'm a senior in college and considering a career as a web programmer. Are entry level programmers required to be able to know how to
code from the scratch in C# or any of the other programs? ....or is their a step-by-step training they're put through at the workplace. What has been your experience?

It would depend on the office as to how much training you would get but it would more likely be about how to do things there way rather than how to do things. You'd get some guidance on how to do the curly stuff but you'd be expected to know the basics going in.

Curly implies difficult, where simple would be straight.
