Question how to use html source code of a website

I tried system .net but this only download the source to a local directory c:\ for exaple my questions is : how can i use the html website source code then use the if statement to direct the programe to find certain phrase on it and build my programe based on that phrase Edit "Ok , let me explain more , i want one phrase of the source code of the site the incorrect login message you see i'm a cracker so i want to make my own programe"
