Description


As a Senior Software Integration Engineer, you will have the chance to join our team in Derby who work on the Equipment Health Management Solution. Your primary responsibility will be within the civil aerospace sector, identifying and improving areas of our current systems, developing new monitoring and reporting systems, taking customer requirements and configuring new and existing systems to match their requirements. In this role, you will act as the technical contact for software aspects of our customer delivery as well as assist in the transition of our systems to cloud based technologies.

Key Accountabilities
-Work with the customer to design and implement the configuration of products centred on their specific requirements.
-Build and maintain technical environments to support all phases of implementation.
-Translate high level deployment and technical requirements into detailed specifications and scripts.
-Plan, design and conduct the testing of our implemented solutions; correcting errors and re-testing to achieve an error-free result.
-Take responsibility for the correct execution of deployment and implementation tasks. You will identify, assess and manage risks affecting the success of the implementation.
-Technical coordination and acceptance of new customer deployments and transition into service.


Qualifications


Essential


-Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Scientific, Computing, Engineering discipline or equivalent, with direct experience in a software engineering role.
-Extensive experience with Oracle DB or SQL Server (2008 or 2012) - you'll be able to create and interpret SQL queries and stored procedures.
-Ability to investigate and resolve technical software issues.
-Understanding of project delivery and software / system integration.
-Pre-empt potential issues with system and data integrity.
-Ability to analyse, design, develop, test and document ETL routines, e.g. Talend / SSIS / Mulesoft.


Desirable


-Microsoft: SSAS, Entity Framework, C#.Net.
-Experience configuring MOSS 2007 (SharePoint).
-Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud based technologies.
-Prognosis (alerting software).
