Software Developer
Location: Remote (based in Canada), with monthly or quarterly in-person team meetings
Salary: $90 000 - $140000 CAD Base + Equity, Bonus, Paid Vacation and Benefits

The Role:
We are looking for a Software Developer in a full-time role to join SortSpoke. You will be a high-impact contributor in an evolving and fast-paced environment that is scaling 3x a year. We want someone who enjoys challenging existing processes and thrives in a close-knit team built on mutual respect and collective results.
What You’ll Do as a Developer - Backend:
⦁ Develop maintainable, reliable and efficient code that operationalizes machine learning at cloud-scale for mission-critical enterprise use cases
⦁ Work as part of a team to scope, design, implement and review features
⦁ Work with peers to improve security, performance and maintainability of code during code reviews and paired/mob programming sessions
⦁ Find opportunities to refactor existing software
⦁ Participate in demos, and sprint planning sessions
⦁ Research and evaluate new technologies, libraries and development practices
Who you are:
⦁ Critical thinker with capacity to learn and problem solve quickly on-the-fly
⦁ Positive thinker with the ability to work well in a small, close-knit team
⦁ Experience with high-performance, high-availability REST APIs
⦁ Experience with C# and .NET Core
⦁ Experience with MongoDB / NoSQL databases

⦁ A willingness to learn and grow every day
⦁ Provide mentoring for junior development staff
⦁ Experience with AWS, React, Python, PyTorch
⦁ Experience building an Enterprise SaaS product in public cloud
⦁ Development team mentor/team lead experience
⦁ Ability to contribute to the long-term architectural roadmap of services
⦁ Ability to contribute to evolution of our CI/CD pipeline
⦁ Interest in obtaining or applying infosec experience
