Largeaddressaware 32 bit process vs 64 bit process

In this answer on StackOverflow, some of the pitfalls of using the /Largeaddressaware flag on a 32 bit process are discussed. However, as I understand it, that flag is always set in a 64 bit process. So those same pitfalls apply to a 64 bit process, correct?
