needing a data example

I'm trying to create a form that has a combobox and a table. When an item is selected from the combobox the table is populated with a filtered list. my combobox has a list last name, first name of names my db has id, furst name, last name. my other table has a field that refrences the id from the first table.

does anyone have and example or know where i can find something like this.
