Your question is too vague as it is. Data won't be overwritten unless you have written code to do that. We can't tell you how you should change code that we've never seen in order to make it do something differently. You need to ALWAYS provide a FULL and CLEAR explanation of the problem, which includes what you're trying to achieve, how you're trying to achieve it, what happens when you try it and how that differs from your expectations. The (relevant and only the relevant) code is part of - the bulk of, in fact - what constitutes how you're trying to achieve it.
