Resolved I have got a legit enterprise key for VS2017. Shall I use it or go for the VS 2022 community edition?

Yes. 32-bit vs. 64-bit. Supported versions of frameworks. Feature sets available to you.

It's unlikely that you'll benefit form Enterprise unless you're actually working in an enterprise. Even most professional developers working in teams just use Professional rather than Enterprise. I'd say go with the free edition of the newer version. Of course, you can install both and compare for yourself, then uninstall one of you find it surplus to requirements.

Note that you will be limited to .NET Framework and maybe early, out-of-support versions of .NET Core with VS 2017. .NET 5 is out of support and it requires at least VS 2019. .NET 6 is the oldest version still supported and it requires VS 2022.
